New church dedicated in China

Months after churches in the eastern Chinese province of Zhejiang were slated for demolition, a new Catholic church has been dedicated in the southern province of Guizhou.
In the presence of 1,000 faithful, Bishop Paul Xiao Zejiang consecrated the new church in Zunyi, a city of 6.1 million. The prelate ministers with the approval of both the Holy See and the Communist government.
