Vatican conference on sports and the culture of encounter

The Pontifical Council for Culture is hosting a three-day conference entitled “Sports at the Service of Humanity: From the ‘Results-Oriented Culture’ to a ‘Culture of Encounter.’”

Speakers and moderators include Msgr. Melchor Sánchez de Toca Alameda, the pontifical council’s secretary; Msgr. Mario Lusek of the Italian Episcopal Conference; and Ray McKenna of Catholic Athletes for Christ.
