Freed Sudanese Christian woman arrives in US

Meriam Ibrahim, the Sudanese woman who once faced a death sentence because she refused to renounce her Christian faith, has left Italy in order to reside in New Hampshire.
During a July 24 meeting, Pope Francis praised the Sudanese woman for her “courageous witness to perseverance in the faith.”
