Belgium’s bishops issue report on abuse

The bishops of Belgium have issued their 2012-13 report on the clerical sexual abuse of minors.
In 2012, 286 abuse allegations were made; the following year, the number fell to 37. 71% of alleged victims were male, and 75% were ten or older at the time of the abuse. 84% of the incidents occurred more than three decades ago.
125 victims have been paid nearly €2.5 million ($3.4 million), according to the report.
