‘Prayer summit’ for Israel-Palestinian peace to take place June 8

The Holy See Press Office has announced that Israeli President Shimon Peres and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas will join Pope Francis at the Vatican on June 8 to pray for peace.
The Pope announced his invitation to the two leaders on May 25, during his pilgrimage to the Holy Land.
