Extremists attack Indonesian parish

May 30, 2014

Muslim extremists “brutally and violently” attacked a parish on the Indonesian island of Java as the faithful were praying the Rosary and practicing hymns for Sunday Mass, according to an AsiaNews report.

Following the May 29 incident at the parish near Yogyakarta, the extremists went to the home of a Catholic layman who runs a publishing company and brutally beat him.

The publishing house, Galang Press, publishes books on a variety of subjects.
