Vatican officials review accomplishments in interreligious dialogue

May 27, 2014

The latest English edition of L’Osservatore Romano has published remarks delivered by the president and secretary of the Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue on the 50th anniversary of the dicastery’s foundation.

“In the times in which we live, conflicts are often colored by religious differences, making relationships and dialogue among persons of different religions more needed than ever,” said Cardinal Jean-Louis Tauran, the pontifical council’s president. “Such dialogue must continue, with courage and perseverance, trusting in the support of the Holy Spirit.”

Father Miguel Ángel Ayuso Guixot, the council’s secretary, reviewed the dicastery’s accomplishments over the past 50 years.
