Jerusalem Christians to make novena for visit by Pope, patriarch

Christian leaders in Jerusalem have announced an ecumenical novena to prepare for the upcoming visit of Pope Francis and Patriarch Bartholomew I of Constantinople.

According to the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem, the novena will include three days of fasting, three days devoted to prayer for Christian unity, and three days of adoration in churches in which the Blessed Sacrament is reserved.
