Chicago priest, recently reinstated, again under investigation

April 23, 2014

A Chicago priest who recently returned to active ministry is again under investigation.

Father Michael O’Connell had been reinstated following archdiocesan and police investigations.

Following the reinstatement, an anonymous man “alleged he witnessed O’Connell behaving improperly at a south suburban gym years ago and said he reported the incident to police” on April 21, the Chicago Sun-Times reported.

An archdiocesan spokesman said in a statement that Father O’Connell will remain in active ministry during the new investigation but that he will not visit his parish’s school or be alone with children.

Please, everyone, appeal to Pope Francis to curtail the ordination of those with homosexual tendencies. Almost all the sexual abuse scandals have involved homosexual priests. Homosexuality is a disorder of the psyche. We should have only psychologically healthy men in the priesthood.
