Pakistan’s bishops condemn attack on Hindu temple
March 21, 2014
The justice and peace commission of Pakistan’s episcopal conference decried an Islamist attack on a Hindu temple, calling it “the fruit of hatred and premeditated instigation,” according to the Fides news service.
The Reuters news agency reported that a large mob set fire to the temple after a Hindu was accused of tearing pages from a copy of the Quran.
The nation of 193 million is 96% Muslim, 1.7% Hindu, and 0.7% Catholic.
