Argentine inter-religious pilgrims meet with Pope

February 28, 2014

Pope Francis met privately on February 28 with a inter-religious group from Argentina that had recently completed a pilgrimage to the Holy Land.

The Argentine group was composed of 45 people, equally divided into 15 Catholics, 15 Jews, and 15 Muslims. They had visited holy sites in Jordan, Israel, and the Palestinian territories. Many of the pilgrims were friends of Pope, dating back to his years as Archbishop of Buenos Aires.
