Voice of America, an official broadcast outlet of the US government, has published a positive news story on the Paris Foreign Missions Society, a missionary order founded in 1658.
The order currently has 240 priests and 27 seminarians.
“The work of missionary priests and nuns seems more dangerous than ever, at least from statistics showing killings of missionaries doubled last year,” the report began. “Christian missionaries have faced danger for centuries, but the nature of the threat they face is very different today, as is the context in which they operate.”
