Vatican newspaper welcomes equal female presence in new Italian cabinet

The Vatican newspaper has praised the new Italian government led by Prime Minister Matteo Renzi for giving women eight of the 16 posts in the cabinet.

L’Osservatore Romano said that the equal number of women in the Italian government was “a very positive novelty.” The Vatican newspaper also praised the Renzi government for meeting its schedule for the introduction of a ruling cabinet, and for providing a youthful leadership group.
