Lawsuit: Walgreens fired Baptist pharmacist who refused to prescribe morning-after pill
February 14, 2014
The Thomas More Society and a Nashville attorney have filed a lawsuit on behalf of Philip Hall, a Baptist pharmacist who alleged that Walgreens fired him because of his “profound religious and moral objections to dispensing abortifacients, or abortion-inducing drugs, such as Plan B.”
The lawsuit alleges that Walgreens knew of his objections for six years but fired him in 2013 as new FDA regulations were being implemented.
