Bishops pray for peace, harmony between Peru, Chile
January 22, 2014
As the International Court of Justice prepares to render a decision in a maritime border dispute between Chile and Peru, bishops in both nations have called for prayers for peace and harmony, the Fides news agency reported.
In two dioceses in Peru and Chile, prayers for peace will be offered simultaneously in the cathedrals, and one Peruvian bishop has directed that adoration of the Blessed Sacrament take place in every parish so that the faithful may pray for peace.
