Paraguay's president meets with Pontiff

Paraguay’s President Horacio Manuel Cartes Jara met with Pope Francis on November 25, for a conversation that centered on Church-state relations, the fight against poverty and corruption, and human rights.

After his conversation with the Holy Father, the South American leader met separately with the Vatican Secretary of State, Archbishop Pietro Parolin; and the Secretary for Relations with States, Archbishop Dominique Mamberti.
