Stephen Colbert headlines Al Smith Dinner

A year after President Barack Obama and Gov. Mitt Romney appeared at the annual Alfred E. Smith Memorial Foundation dinner in New York, comedian Stephen Colbert was the annual dinner’s keynote speaker.
Also on the dais were Cardinal Edward Egan, Henry Kissinger, Gov. Andrew Cuomo of New York, Mayor Michael Bloomberg, and television anchors Scott Pelley and Maria Bartiromo.
The dinner raised $3 million for local Catholic charities.
