Vatican conference to mark 50th anniversary of Pacem in Terris

At a September 26 press conference in Rome, the Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace outlined plans for a 3-day conference marking the 50th anniversary of the encyclical Pacem in Terris by Pope John XXIII.
The conference, to be held October 2-4, will focus on international peacekeeping efforts, new frontiers in peace efforts, and education for peace.
