California homemaker, reported mystic being considered for sainthood

September 26, 2013

A San Jose Mercury News article has drawn attention in the American and British media to the Servant of God Cora Evans (1904-57), whose cause for beatification was begun with Vatican approval in 2012.

Evans, a homemaker and convert from Mormonism, reportedly had mystical experiences.

Her daughter, now 83, recalled, “As a child, I would come home from school and say, ‘How was the master [Jesus] today?’ I didn't realize that it was unusual.”
