The Vatican has released the details of a scheduled October 4 visit to Assisi by Pope Francis.
The Holy Father will leave the Vatican early on that Friday morning, traveling by helicopter. His busy schedule for the day will include an outdoor Mass at 11, meetings with the poor and with clients of Catholic charities, visits to the basilica of St. Francis and the crypt where the saint is buried, a session with clergy and religious, another visit to the basilica of St. Clare, and a meeting with young people. He will return to the Vatican by helicopter, with his scheduled arrival there at 8 pm.
