Bishop warns: Western intervention in Syria could lead to ‘world war’

August 27, 2013

A Chaldean Catholic bishop in Syria has warned that Western intervention could lead to a world war, according to a report from the Assyrian International News Agency.

“If there is an armed intervention, that would mean, I believe, a world war,” said Bishop Antoine Audo, SJ. “That risk has returned.”

“We hope that the Pope's call for real dialogue between the warring parties to find a solution can be a first step to stop the fighting,” he added.

I don't believe that attacking Syria is a partisan issue as the bishop's comments have clearly shown. Even U.S. "experts" are divided on the wisdom of a Syrian attack and the consequences. An old saying, "You can't put the genie back in the bottle." Pray for peace.

Obama's new war. I've seen him pictured with a faux Superman shirt on. Now I know why; it's that big "S" on the front side of the shirt: The Democrat Party, the Official Party of Sodomy, Suicide, Slaughter of the Innocent, and Strife.
