July 19, 2013

Msgr. Fabian Pedacchio Leaniz, an Argentine priest who has been working at the Congregation for Bishops, has begun working as a secretary to Pope Francis.

The Argentine cleric, who is described as energetic and capable, told the Catholic News Agency, "I want to keep a low profile." He works alongside Msgr. Alfred Xuereb, a Maltese cleric who continues serving as a secretary to the Pope after filling the same role for Pope Benedict XVI.
