Former Anglican priest installed as English Catholic bishop

A former Anglican priest has been installed as the head of a Catholic diocese in England.

Bishop Alan Hopes of East Anglia, who was installed on July 16, became an Anglican priest in 1968. He was received into the Catholic Church in 1994, and ordained to the priesthood the following year.
