Priest beaten; diocese and police investigating

June 06, 2013

A priest of the Austin, Texas diocese, was briefly hospitalized after being beaten in a motel room, under circumstances that have raised questions for the diocese as well as local police.

Father Rafael Padilla called for an ambulance shortly after checking into a motel that is notorious as a site for prostitution and drug deals. The priest told police that he did not know who had beaten him; he later reported that he was robbed.

Imagine, being whacked by some ingrate for only trying to minister to San Antonio's disaffected souls.

Jumping to conclusions,I know, but until this behavior stops,we will have to suffer the "pervert" comments attached to our clergy. We pay and pay for the criminal coverups(former and current) of our Church's hierarchy.
