For 1st time, Israeli university declares Christmas a holiday

The University of Haifa has become the first Israeli university to declare Christmas Day a holiday for students.
The university’s faculty senate also voted to make two other days university holidays: the Muslim feast of Eid al Fitr and the Druze feast of Eid al-Adha.
