Court strikes down Arizona law against late-term abortions

The Ninth US Circuit Court of Appeals has ruled that an Arizona law banning abortion after 20 weeks of pregnancy is unconstitutional. In August, the court had blocked enforcement of the law.

“We want to challenge Roe so we can take it to the Supreme Court, and we say, ‘Why can’t we protect babies at 20 weeks?’” said John Jakubczyk, past president of Arizona Right to Life. “There’s nothing to lose by appealing.”
