Italy's top politicians unite against 'homophobia'

Italian President Giorgio Napolitano called for a “firm and constant commitment” to battling prejudice against homosexuals, as Italy observed “Anti-Homopobia Day” on May 17. His statement was echoed by several other leading Italian political figures.
“The state must take action, not only for recognition but also for protection of homosexuals’ rights,” said Pietro Grasso, the speaker of the Italian Senate. House Speaker Laura Boldrini concurred, condemning a “macho and homophobic culture” and calling for legal recognition of same-sex unions. Josefa Idem, the nation’s equal-opportunity minister, said: “I intend to dedicate myself to ensuring that homosexual couples have the same legal recognition” as married couples.

I have a suggestion. The pro-sodomy crowd has corrupted language almost as much as it has morals. The nouns "love", "marriage", and the adjective "gay", all have been arbitrarily assigned meanings they never had. Let's not give into this manipulation by using words in the strange way sodomites wish. (Beyond this subversion of language, in this piece "homophobia" is an idiotic neologism based on confusion about the Greek word "homo" and the similar Latin word. Let's call this what it is, stupid.)

For the record, I am homophobic. Aggressive males who attempt sex with other males and demand acceptance for sexual abuse and legal recognition of perversion as a sacramental union scare me to death, particularly when they have the coercive power of the government behind them. They and their abortion-loving allies are destroying our nation.
