Following complaint to state commission, festival ends discount for Mass attendance
February 28, 2013
The Mexican Fiesta, held annually in Milwaukee at a park owned by the city, has agreed to end its practice of offering an $8 discount to persons who attend a Mass held at the park.
The decision is part of a settlement agreement that follows a complaint by the Freedom From Religion Foundation to Wisconsin’s Equal Rights Division.
