No 'Soho Masses' at new London site, pastor assures
January 11, 2013
The organizers of “Soho Masses” will not be allowed to plan liturgical celebrations at another London parish, the Jesuit pastor has disclosed.
Early in January, Archbishop Vincent Nichols announced that the “Soho Masses” would be discontinued and participants would be encouraged to attend Mass at a nearby Jesuit-run parish. William Oddie of the Catholic Herald expressed misgivings that the organizers of the “Soho Masses” would continue planning ceremonies to appeal to homosexuals at the new site. But Father Andrew Cameron-Mowat told The Tablet that any such arrangement “would be against the wishes of the archbishop.”
