Special Mass for religious liberty on October 14; Rosary novena to begin that day

A special Mass and Pilgrimage for Life and Liberty, sponsored by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops’ Ad Hoc Committee for Religious Liberty, will take place at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington on October 14. Archbishop William Lori of Baltimore will preach at the noon Mass.
The bishops’ conference is also encouraging Catholics to take part in a Rosary novena for the intentions of respect for human life and religious liberty from October 14-22. Archbishop Lori will begin the novena by leading the recitation of the Rosary at the National Shrine.
