Brisbane parish promises response to archbishop's concerns

A Brisbane parish, warned by Archbishop John Bathersby that it has drifted away from the Catholic faith, promises to reply in detail. The archbishop-- who had essentially asked the parish whether or not it wished to remain a part of the Catholic Church-- has indicated that he does not plan any immediate action; he is apparently consulting with officials in Rome. Now parishioners are forming committees to draft a response to the archbishop's concerns. Neither side seems to expect a quick resolution of the conflict.
