June 19, 2012

Pope Benedict XVI has scheduled a trip to Italy’s Emilia Romagna region on June 26, to show his solidarity with victims of an earthquake there.

The Pope will travel to Emilia Romagna by helicopter on Tuesday morning, visiting a few towns and inspecting the damage to the church of St. Catherine of Alexandria in Rovereto di Novi. He is scheduled to address local residents shortly after noon, then return to the Vatican.
