Archbishop Lori: the battle goes beyond the HHS mandate

In a speech delivered at the Ethics & Public Policy Center in Washington, Archbishop William Lori of Baltimore, who chairs the US bishops’ committee on religious freedom, explained the importance of the political and legal battle over the contraceptive mandate.

However, Bishop Lori cautions that a larger battle looms, beyond the debate over the HHS mandate:

Put in other words, the HHS lawsuits, if successful, would only provide a band-aid solution to the greater problem of radical secularism that we face in this country.
