Pakistani Christians face threats during Holy Week

April 03, 2012

Christians in the Punjab region of Pakistan are fearful of attacks by Islamic zealots during Holy Week and Easter.

In the Sarghoda district, signs and sacred images have been defaced and Christians have received threats, warning them not to attend religious services. “Christians live Holy Week in terror,” reported a local priest, adding that police have not taken action to protect the religious minority.
