Canadian judge gives jail term, tongue-lashing to pro-life activist

March 26, 2012

A Canadian judge unleashed a harangue on a pro-life activist as he sentenced her to an added prison term for refusing to stay away from abortion clinics.

Mr. Justice S. Ford Clements refused to grant probationary release to Mary Wagner when Wagner declined to promise that she would comply with court orders to avoid abortion clinics. Wagner had already served 88 days in prison for entering a clinic in Toronto to try to dissuade women from going through with abortion plans.

The Ontario judge called Wagner “cowardly” for trying to stop abortions. In an angry courtroom lecture he said that he would return her to prison to “protect” women from her, saying that her appearances at abortion clinics caused them “pain and grief.”

“You appear to be governed by a higher moral order than the laws of our country,” Justice Clements said. “You’re wrong and your God’s wrong.”

Mary Wagner's address is at the end of the original article (you can click on the article above under sources for this story) if anyone would like to send her a card of comfort during this ordeal.

I fear for this judge when he is judged by THE Judge.

This will be what the Church in America will face, with Obamacare.
