February 16, 2012

A group of armed men recently attacked a Protestant church in Ouargla, a city of 130,000 in eastern Algeria. The attackers dismantled the cross on top of the church and ransacked the premises.

The pastor and his wife have suffered repeated abuse since his appointment in 2007; his wife was beaten in 2009.
