Philadelphia archdiocese will hear appeals on school closings

January 12, 2012

The Archdiocese of Philadelphia has established an appeals process for reconsideration of decisions on closing schools.

Two committees will hear appeals: one for the 4 high schools slated for closing, the other for the 45 elementary schools. Archbishop Charles Chaput will make the final decisions on all appeals. The archdiocese has said that final choices will be announced in February.
