Vatican Radio pays tribute to painter, critic Schloss

December 22, 2011

Vatican Radio has paid tribute to Edith Schloss, a painter and art critic who died in Rome on December 20.

“The largest body of her work is represented by oil paintings, collages, watercolors, drawings and sketches, but since the 1940s, in New York and in Rome, Edith’s vision led her to experiment with avant-garde techniques and ideas setting the stage for many to come,” Vatican Radio reported.
