Ireland faces a battle over secularization

Along with the customary prayers, Ireland's new President Michael Higgins invited a secular humanist to offer a meditation at his inauguration.
Columnist David Quinn sees that gesture as another indication of a major battle in Ireland between religious faith--especially the Catholic faith--and the forces of aggressive secularization.
