Bosnia: 5 martyred nuns beatified

Five Bosnian nuns--Sisters Jula Ivanisevic, Berchmana Leidenix, Krizina Bojanc, Antonija Fabjan, and Bernadeta Banja--were beatitfied on September 24 in Sarajevo. Cardinal Angelo Amato, prefect of the Congregation for the Causes of Saints, led the beatification ceremony.
Bosnian Serb forces imprisoned and killed the five martyrs of Drina in 1941.
