New York Catholic school teachers work without contract

Teachers at Catholic schools in the Archdiocese of New York have been working without a contract since September 1. The teachers’ union is seeking annual 2% raises for teachers over three years; the archdiocese has proposed no raise this year and a 1% raise next year.
