Robbery motive suspected in shooting death of priest in Mississippi

A vacationing Catholic priest was shot and killed in Mississippi last weekend. Police have arrested a suspect, and say that the crime was motivated by robbery.
The body of Father Edwar Everitt was found by a caretaker at a retreat house he shared with other priests on the Mississippi coast. Police have arrested Jeremy Wayne Manieri, who was described as “a registered sex offender with a long criminal record.”
