No breakthrough in Vatican-Israeli diplomatic talks

Diplomatic representatives of Israel and the Holy See issued a joint statement indicating their desire "to accelerate progress towards agreement" in their long-running efforts to produce a final pact governing the economic and juridical rights of the Church in Israel. But their talks last week produced no other announcements. The talks will continue in December.
