Would Obama administration cut health care to preserve abortion funding?

Writing in the Wall Street Journal, Charmaine Yoest and Denise Burke of Americans United for Life decry the pressure that the Obama administration is putting on states that have or may cut off funding for Planned Parenthood.
That pressure now includes the threat of removing federal Medicaid funding from Indiana, where the state has already de-funded Planned Parenthood. Yoest and Burke observe:
Clearly, Planned Parenthood and the administration are willing to deny thousands of needy men, women and children health care in order to protect the bottom lines of Planned Parenthood and other abortion providers.

Are we surprised by this? Didn't Obama tells us he was radically pro-abortion before we elected him? So are we now surprised that he told us where he stood and what he will do? Admittedly, the idea of a politician telling the truth is hard to believe, but something about the way he told us he favors abortion convinced me he was in earnest. Sorrowfully, many of our fellow Catholics, especially many bishops did not believe him. We made their beds. Now babies by the millions must die in them!
