Pope, Italian bishops to join for Rosary

May 03, 2011

Pope Benedict XVI will join the bishops of Italy in praying the Rosary on May 26, during a regular meeting of the Italian bishops' conference, the Vatican has announced.

The Italian bishops have scheduled the recitation of the Rosary, in the basilica of St. Mary Major, "to emphasize their particular connection to Italy, renewing their commitment to the Virgin Mother on the 150th anniversary of the unification of Italy."
