Researchers at the University of Adelaide, Australia, are questioning whether estrogen in the environment might account for a rise in obesity and a drop in sperm count among men in affluent countries. The Daily Mail helpfully informs us that chemicals similar to estrogen can be found in PVC pipes and in soy-based foods. The paper does not remind readers that synthetic estrogen is found in another very popular consumer product, because everyone knows there’s no reason to be worried about The Pill.

Well, we'd better look at the science. Pesticides that disrupt the reproductive cycles of insects, hormones given to farm animals, and estrogen naturally excreted by healthy women need to be taken into account. Birth control pills might not add much to the mix. What will we do, tell healthy women not on birth control not to use the bathroom?

Estrogen TRULY IS everywhere these days. Why, there's so much of it in the NFL tha it gushes out in a pink deluge every October. We TRULY DO have to mention it, even combat it!
