The 2013 Christmas stamp is forever

One of our supporters in Oregon, Loretta Matulich, noticed that US Post Office flyers on the subject of Christmas mailings seem to rather deliberately omit mentioning the one Christian stamp for the season. This features the Virgin and Child by Jan Gossaert, painted in 1531 in oil on wood. The original hangs in the Cleveland Museum of Art.

Loretta is right to note that this is a “forever” stamp, which means its postal value increases as the postal rates change. Stocking up on these is one way to keep Christ not only in Christmas but in the rest of the year as well. I've already got mine, but they may sell out quickly. Check at your local post office.
