To participate in a study of Spiritual Motherhood to uplift priests...

By Dr. Jeff Mirus ( bio - articles - email ) | May 18, 2012

Mary Gannon Kaufmann is writing a book on spiritual motherhood of priests based on the 2007 document from the Congregation for the Clergy, Adoration, Reparation, Spiritual Motherhood for Priests. The title of the book is Becoming a Life-giving Woman: What Spiritual Motherhood of Priests Holds for Today's Woman.

Kaufmann would like to hear from women who have felt called to uplift priests in prayer. She is interested in such questions as these:

  • How did they first notice this desire to pray for priests surface in their lives?
  • How do they pray for priests?
  • Do they have any stories of how their prayers have helped the priests they pray for?
  • What kind of formation for this call has been helpful?

The results of her research will be kept anonymous. If you would like to assist with this project, you can learn more about Mary Kaumann at the website for The Incarnate Institute, which she directs. And can email her at [email protected].
