Send Mass cards with Holy-Post.com
I was recently made aware of a useful website for sending Mass cards via email or Facebook. Holy-Post.com is an organization based in St. Paul, Minnesota, and its mission is to allow people to let their loved ones know they are being prayed for while supporting the communities and missions celebrating the Masses.
How it works: First, the user chooses the parish or mission at which he would like to have the Mass said. Then he chooses the occasion—whether a Mass for healing, in remembrance of a deceased loved one, or for some other reason—and the date on which the Mass should be celebrated. The Mass cards are customizable.
The price of the Mass intention donations are set by the missions themselves, and all of the proceeds go to the chosen mission. (Users may also see details about each mission and what the donation would be used for.) Holy-Post.com receives no income, contract or fees for the service (though at the time of this writing, they are still waiting to receive their non-profit status).
Holy-Post.com is currently connected with three communities, but is looking to add more of any type of Catholic community to the list—parishes, schools, religious communities, charities, etc., in order to give as many options to their users and benefit as many missions as possible. I was told that any communities interested in working with Holy-Post.com are encouraged to contact Madeline Piechowski at [email protected].
