Making Advent Easy

By Peter Mirus ( bio - articles - email ) | Nov 29, 2004

This year we've tried to make Advent easy. Many of us at Trinity have children and can easily appreciate how the time between Thanksgiving and Christmas can be rushed and chaotic. And considering that, we reflected on how to make it easy for you to access and appreciate the wealth of materials that we have to offer regarding Advent.

Enter the new CatholicCulture.org Advent Workshop. Colorful, informative, short pages with only what you need to know to participate in the season.

Want to make your own Advent wreath? Can’t remember all the words to "O Come, O Come Emmanuel"? Need a blessing for a Christmas crib or tree? You can find it all here.

If you want more we have it -- much, much more. But the Workshop gives you what you need to know about Advent, and helps you out with things that you've already learned but just can't seem to remember.

To access the Workshop at any time, just click on the purple banner near the top of every page on this site.

In the near future we'll also be releasing a Christmas Workshop to help you prepare for Christmas and take advantage of the rich traditions in that season.

I hope that you have a blessed and peaceful Advent!

Too much risk thinking, acting and living as a liberal these days because the good works done in the Kingdom as the Lord Jesus described the time, will be unable to be done. Besides free will, It is easier to live by keeping one self simple and pure and deeply rooted in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I hope Pope Francis may see this as a better way for the flock now. Being Cold may get you in the Kingdom to come, but not being on target and aBlazed! for the Lord Jesus will not please him.
